I love collaborations. They often result in exciting new products like the collaboration between Modern bad and Stenhuggardottern. They have designed together a hole new serie of accessories for the bathroom in limestone. Stunning. The pictures are photographed and styled by me.

Here are the two new clothing hangers that I have been working with this fall and they are now finally in the shop. The Oblique clothing hanger and white rectangle clothing hanger. I have been planning for this a long time and I´m so happy that they are now  launhed! Yey to me and my dear assistant Emmie! To the shop here.

I I T T A L A __________ annaleena + kuukuna

When I was asked to show Iitalas new lamp kuukuna at my blog, I didn't hesitate. Partly because I grew up with Finnish design and the strong clean expression that Iitala represents, but also because Kuukuna lamp is as if created especially for my home and my style. I love the round organic form and the fact that it is handmade by a glass-blower, which gives it high quality as well as a simple and timeless design. I fell for its pleasant design, but especially its light. Kuukuna lamp glows with a unique warm shade when you turn it on.

Kuukuna was originally designed in 1986 by the master craftsman Oiva Toikka and made by expert glass blowers in Iittala’s atmospheric Finnish workshops.  And now Iittala has dug into its archives and decided to resurrect this mouth-blown glass light. Im very happy for that.

HAY / _______ gym

Somehow I've always had this passion for sporty gymnastics environments, and it has not decreased after my daughter started at gymnastics. Therefore, these gym hooks /Hay designed by Staffan Holm was true love at first sight! You can not find more unique, sporty, playful and more creative hangers that these! 

PEPE HEYKOOP ___________ design matters

One of my Formex favorites this year was the beautiful Paper vase cover by designer Pepe Heykoop. The vases are cooperation with Tiny Miracels that provides the poor people education and workshops how to produce highend design. DECORATE _________________ less is always more

When it comes to decorations in my home, I choose always less is more.

Not because I don´t like many things but only because I think it is easier to find stuff. 

Decorating with few things gives also more calming expression and less details to look at. And with less stuff in front at a time, highlights all your favorite things. Here´s some of mine favorites right now.

STENHUGGARDOTTERN ____________ stone/ marble plates

Beautiful things don´t just happen. Neither did this gorgeous plate of limestone. It is a product of generational genuine craftsmanship, where the father has been running a stonemasonry as his father and now the creative daughter Josefine has used their knowledge of the stone and taken it to the next level and started to make these beautiful stone plates. The plates are available in two different designs in limestone and Carrara marble. Gotta love the limestone! More pictures on their home page here.

NEW DESIGN______________________ a bird

Today opens the first gastro hotel Pm in Växjö Sweden and it´s also the first one in Scandinavia. And for this hotel I have had the assignment to design a new object that would match my pyramids. The result was this geometrical shape in brass called bird. The inspiration for the bird came from the Japanese art form origami, where you fold paper into three-dimensional objects. The objects will look a little bit different on how to place them and how the light reflects on to them and is also works as a bookend.

INTERIOR ______________________ something new

There´s always happening something new or just something with my interior. And I just noticed that I haven´t posted a picture about our new brass lamp in the living room. As usually we are doing and testing our prototypes ourselves first in our home. So,so far this is only a prototype. I am going to London next week just to catch up some new inspiration and hopefully visit some design studios.
