ANASTASSIADES + HERMAN MILLER

As a big fan to London based designer Michael Anastassiades as I am, I could not be happier to see his new work for Herman Miller.
Anastassiades, who is best known for his amazing  sculptural lighting, unveiled his first collection of stools alongside a range of tables and huge versions of his mobile-style lights at the Herman Miller showroom in Milan. Love them, a lot. Congrats Michael and Herman Miller for great collab. Looks awesome.

O L I V E R G U S T A V S T U D I O ___________________________________

Last weekend when I was on a work trip in Copenhagen, I had a few hours off on saturday to walk around in that beautiful city. Lucky me, my favorite store/gallery Oliver Gustav was open, and with Oliver´s permission I could take a few pictures in there. This is the first time I blog with my mobile images and that is probably nothing I intend to continue with, but hope you will be as inspired by the interiors as I was.

Set on a monochrome backdrop, Gustav’s space uses light and shadow, highlighting is attention to surface and scale.
“I am kind of frightened of colours,” says Gustav of the space, “I think it comes from the fact that I really like environments to be peaceful—I don’t like objects that attract too much attention.”

FORM US WITH LOVE

I get so inspired to see other ways to use materials than you are used to. Like the Swedish design studio Form us With Love design recently did for Baux. Form Us With Love has designed yet another beautiful collection for entrepreneurial acoustics for brand BAUX. The new Plank collection is refined and smart, stripping back to it's bare wood wool heritage, while taking a step forward, being configured in a new set of sophisticated block patterns. More images here.

NEW HOME______________

We did it. We made it. And we are here. Finally after a long after building period and all the endless choices, long days and hard work, we moved into our new house a month before Chritmas last year. So good to be here. All rooms in the house are not ready yet, we have still lot´s of unpacked boxes so I will show now and then different rooms that are ready here on the blog. The colour in the living room is the same that we hade in our last bedroom, Antik grå from Jotun lady.
And for for all daily interior pics you´ll find on my insta account under the name annaleenashem.

GOLD AND GREY APARTMENT

When you mix lots of gold and lots of grey the result can be just perfect! As in this old embassy that was turned into a privat apartment. Three walls were taken down to create one large room of 85 square meter which feels a bit like a gallery. This room includes kitchen, dining and living area. Richard Lindvall design. Photos by Mikael Axelsson

VIPP HOUSE

I love when news in the interior sphere really surprises me, like when I heard that Danish VIPP has started to produce holiday houses. They call the beautifully designed houses 'containers', and they are perfect for those who enjoy design but prefer a ready kit to be delivered to their plot. Vipp shelter comes to in the form of a kit . You just need to lift a finger to the point where your shelter should stand . Meanwhile, Vipp arranges delivery, assembly and installation. Thumbs up!

NEXT MOVE ____________

Two years ago we moved from the west coast of Sweden to Stockholm,
and since then we’ve lived in a rented house on the island Ekerö. Our plans were to find a place to build a new house and after a while we did.
For over a year we’ve been building the new house, still on Ekerö but closer to the city,
and finally it’s time to move in!
This thing about moving is starting to become a routine…
I’m so looking forward to furnish and decorate the new house. And indeed, it’s gonna be new -
all walls and ceilings are painted in grey colors. It feels like the white period is over for me, at least for a while,
and that I’m heading for a new kind of minimalism. Exciting.
Here are the last pictures from this house, and it’s time to start packing.
I promise to post pictures from the new house as soon as we’ve moved! You will find more  daily updates ad pictures from the new house from my instagram annaleenashem. See you there!

GREY __________________________

I just came across these pictures from an absolutely amazing home, called Penthouse V.
It's based on the roof structure of a 1930's cinema, and is a holiday home for a family of seven in Pörtschach, Austria.
I surely wouldn't mind having a holiday home like this!
